Remember Me

How many eyes has a typical person?

I would love to thank all the youths who participated in the HIV and AIDS seminar that took place on December 29, 2018 at the Sexuality Education Resource Centre (SERC). This session wouldn't have been possible without the involvementĀ of the parents who were proactive in making sure that their children would be part of this educative program. Thank you so much for making sure that they attended the seminar.

Moreover, for a better understanding of what took place on Saturday I would like to reiterate that SERC is a Non-profit organization that serves Winnipeg and Brandon communities. They have resources for everyone. SERC provides inclusive, non-judgmental education about sexuality; it believes that people have the right to accurate information on all their choices.

The seminar that was held on Saturday was focused on HIV and AIDS. There was an open and extensive discussion on this topic including the history, epidemic, stigma, laws and preventive measures one can take to protect themselves against contracting the virus. Over all, it was such a great time well spent and packed with so much information. We hope to see many more youths and even parents to come out and join us whenever this opportunity presents its self again.
Once again thank you to all the youths, parents and of course our active President Mr. Alie HassanĀ Nasralla for such a program in our community.

As always have a wonderful holiday and see you all at the end of year celebration tomorrow night December 31st, 2018 at 1763 Henderson Highway (NOR VILLA HOTEL)
God bless our country Sierra Leone and God bless Canada.
